The international journal Physical Bases of Instrumentation (ISSN 2225-4293, Online ISSN 2712-7885) has been published by the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Science Scientific and Technological Centre of Unique Instrumentation of the Russian Academy of Sciences since 2011.

The journal publishes the results of fundamental and applied research by Russian and international specialists in information technologies, scientific instrumentation, physical research methods, and signal and image processing.
